Laff-Aholics 2016 Rocked the House, All Profits to Progress House and Seeds of Hope

Laff-Aholics 2016 blew the roof off the packed 540-seat auditorium, with a sold-out show and non-stop laughter! Deepest gratitude to our sponsor, Community Health Network in Indianapolis. The hilarious Norm Stulz of Detroit, and the brilliant Karen Rontowski of Los Angeles headlined the show. Marti MacGibbon hosted the event. 2016 beneficiaries are Progress House and Seeds of Hope, non-profits in Indianapolis that provide transitional housing and access to addiction treatment and mental health care for people in recovery.

She delivered the keynote speech at Rome Memorial’s Annual Conference on Trauma, Addiction, Mental Health and Recovery. The conference was held at Turning Stone Casino in Verona, New York. Ms. MacGibbon’s presentation featured her signature mix of both humorous and deeply moving stories of resilience, recovery, and inspiration. She also signed copies of her nationally award-winning memoir, Never Give in to Fear: Laughing All the Way Up from Rock Bottom.

Laff-Aholics Comedy Benefit for Recovery 2015 raised $11,450 dollars for our beneficiaries, Hoosier Veterans Assistance Foundation and Foundation for Court Promoted Recovery. Both beneficiaries are non-profits in Indianapolis that provide access to treatment for addiction and mental health services. Humorous inspirational speaker and standup comic Marti MacGibbon  is founder, producer and emcee of the annual event. One hundred percent of the profits from the show go to beneficiaries.
