Marti MacGibbon is a noted keynote speaker, certified mental health specialist, resiliency expert, and critically acclaimed author. Marti spoke at a fundraising event for Our Hope Association. During the event, An Evening of Hope, she shared stirring and uplifting insights into addiction recovery and trauma resolution. Her presentation included stories from her personal experience, clinical information, and light humor. Our Hope Association is a best-practices nonprofit that provides housing and client-centered, trauma informed care to women in recovery from substance use disorders and post-traumatic stress. A few days before the event, Marti broke her right wrist, but being left-handed, she was able to sign copies of her nationally award-winning memoir, Never Give in to Fear: Laughing All the Way Up from Rock Bottom.
Here’s a testimonial from the client:
Thank you for coming to share your story of hope and healing with the audience at our fundraising gala An Evening of Hope. Your willingness to be the face of recovery from addiction, trauma, trafficking and homelessness helped the audience understand more about the needs of the women at Our Hope as they begin the process of turning their lives around.
