During the event, An Evening of Hope, she shared stirring and uplifting insights into addiction recovery and trauma resolution. Her presentation included stories from her personal experience, clinical information, and light humor. Our Hope Association is a best-practices nonprofit that provides housing and client-centered, trauma informed care to women in recovery from substance use disorders and post-traumatic stress. A few days before the event, Marti broke her right wrist, but being left-handed, she was able to sign copies of her nationally award-winning memoir, Never Give in to Fear: Laughing All the Way Up from Rock Bottom.
