Humorous inspirational speaker Marti MacGibbon will speak to students in grades 8 through 12 on Sept. 8th at Crookston High School in Crookston, MN. Ms. MacGibbon is an internationally known, award-winning author, standup comic, and and expert on addiction and trauma resolution. She is an award-winning recovery advocate with a powerful personal comeback story: she overcame addiction, adolescent trauma, severe post-traumatic stress disorder, human trafficking, domestic violence, and homelessness to lead a successful and happy life. Marti is able to bring light humor to her presentations, and her clinical experience and background, along with her personal story of recovery from addiction, make her an ideal speaker for National Addiction Recovery Month events. Marti’s talk at the school begins at 2 p.m. and ends at 3 p.m.
