Marti MacGibbon is a humorous inspirational speaker and a nationally award-winning author.

Marti MacGibbon is a nationally recognized speaker, certified addiction treatment specialist, and nationally award-winning author. Marti pulls from her personal comeback story. She has survived and healed from addiction, domestic abuse, human trafficking, and post traumatic stress disorder. She is a humorous speaker with a background in professional standup comedy who educates, entertains and inspires audiences. Marti will deliver a keynote speech at an event organized by the Amherst College chapter of To Write Love On Her Arms.

TWLOHA’s Vision Statement is: “To Write Love On Her Arms is a non-profit movement dedicated to presenting hope and finding help for people struggling with addiction, depression, self-injury, and suicide. TWLOHA exists to encourage, inform, inspire, and also to invest directly into treatment and recovery.”

The event will be March 8, 2015, from 4 pm to 8 pm, and will feature Ms. MacGibbon’s talk, and performances by poets, spoken word artists, and bands.
